Just after the storm, the sun rises again!
Just after several bad stuff surrounding the BoR scene, new coders as well as the good ol' ones started to develop one more time new stuff for this awesome engine...that's good news of course!
After a long time of unmotivation 'cause of the code not being worked like it was used to, I picked up my projects again (Double Dragon Classic and TMNT) and also thought about a new one (a Marvel mod), and since then I haven't stop working for releasing them, at least for DDC, since I still need to do some code work for TMNT, but the wait will be highly rewarded, I guarantee.
For DDC, I can tell the following things:
-Up to 2 players mode only, not 4
-3 different playable characters: Dragon twins, Yagiu Ranzou and Chin Seimei (plus a few secret ones).
-Double Dragon®, Double Dragon II: the revenge® and Double Dragon III: the sacred stones® plots available from the beginning of the game.
-Lots of 2-D stages, emulating the platform feeling from the original games
-Weapons available for the Dragon twins to use agains evil punks!
-New Openbor engine features like counterattacks, more animations depending on players & enemies actions, etc.
-Original sprite edits for both players & enemies never developed by the original game brand.
-All modes containing original music from the games plus some new remixes!
...And a lot more!. Well those are just a few ideas about what the mod is going to be at the end, but sure you can expect a lot more from it, even for being an 8-bit era themed mod.
See you next time!
-current TMNT wip: 45% (OB engine)
-current DD nes wip: 93% (Openbor v.48 + Fugue's changes)
PS: I love you Reika!

Hello to everyone, Explanation of a few things...
Sup BoR people! My new blog. Will post about my BoR projects here in the future.
Here you have me in my own site, well sorta. It's been quite a time since I left BoR Revolution with my mate Kingherb so I'll explain a few things.
I remember when DCSteve asked me for helping / joining his new site, BoR Revolution, when Gamikaze still existed. I remember GK owner Rameen always keeping stuff for his site as exclusive which I thought It might difficult access for new people to the BoR scene in genneral. So despite his conditions for hosting, I helped DCSteve with his site and different points of view. I left GK as well 'cause I didn't like Rameen's conditions (BoR should be mass spreaded for gettin' new modders), and I started to be always on Rev. Then GK went down by a mysterious accident (hacking the whole site...I wonder who could be the one doing that) and then I got this funny group conv. in my MSN: both DCS & Rameen saying so many bs each other and trying me to belive their own versions, so I deleted / blocked their asses for life.
With time, Kingherb started to improving Rev with so many stuff, DCSteve left the site to him, gave him lots of power there and Kingherb also offered me going back there, I said yeah, Steve seems to be gone for good this time, so who cares.
Like I said, KH (which stands for Kingherb) made awesome work for the site, changed the old cartoonish logo it had, improved the main page, among other stuff. We were so OK at that time, released lost of stuff, got the best Openbor feedback too, it was all perfect untill DCSteve started to take credit of KH's works in the site in several DC sites all over the web and that of coursed pissed of KH, well who couldn't be pissed off about all the hard work you put on sth just for someone else to say it's from his own and etc.
I keep myself posting in Rev since I used to give good feedback for Openbor development in genneral, also being an active modder I needed to request some stuff here and there. Then Tails launched his own engine, (well sorta, since it's based in Openbor sources) Darkbor.
I remember myself even requesting / testing stuff to Tails and his engine, I must say it was awesome...so many new stuff Openbor hadn't at that moment. Anyways, people started to like Darkbor a lot more and requested those changes for Openbor as well, but the people in charge of coding stuff never added those, making Tails feel kinda depressed...That was nasty for sure, I understand the guy being sad about it. I was told by some people it was kinda difficult adding Darkbor stuff into Openbor (DB = Darkbor / OB = Openbor from now on) 'cause of spanish language and confusing code, well stuff like that. There were so many versions & bug fixes for OB and no DB features on it that Tails just told me one day he was going to make the latest DB as closed source. He never mentioned me about a new mod he was going to do, just about the engine stuff, I remember I said to him I disagree about that.
Since I'm a modder I took everything I release in the web as free, so I don't care much about seeing my ideas, graphics, bg's, etc in other people's mods, in fact, I like that, proves me I have good taste / sense for making mods. This concept makes me unable to understand his reasons for not having the source available even CGR & others (OB people) didn't add anything from his code. We talked about it for long and we were OK even having different opinions,, we were clear about we won't be able to change each other's mind & thoughts about it.
Then I thought it would be fair asking for those features for OB since there wasn't going to be a new DB source available ever. Well in short, Tails took that as betrayal, said I wasn't a trustworthy person anymore, he could forgive what I did but it won't be the same in the future about trust & other stuff, plus never talked to me again.
My common sense says I didn't do anything wrong, in fact I played fair enough asking those stuff at OB.net back then....everyone took that as normal from me, no worries, mistakes, wrong attitude, etc. but Tails just kept saying I care more about new OB features available than true frindship. OK I think BoR doesn't have anything to do with human relationships besides the ones showed in forums and stuff; I do have mates I met in the scene and I can say I can talk to them about any topic, not just BoR, and that's so good , but people can't just mixing stuff & different points of view about these things and mixing them with real life issues. Now I know that Tails loves saying my mods & WIP's sucks, even founding him using one of my finished mods for adding some weapons on it an call it as his own creation without any credit, or just very little, even talking using other people's names just for saying my work suck. You know peeps I don't really care about a guy with his mind can say about a person so many miles away...I don't even took the time to register at Rev for defending myself, doesn't worth it actually.
People who talked about this matter knows I wish the best things to Tails even saying that cap about my works, but I still think I didn't do wrong that time...I've even rethink about it so many times and I always get to the same conclusion....even without considerating personnal aspects I might found quite disturbing in Tails personality.
Now Rev had this little war about a new site...these words I just wrote says it everything. Well all can I say I'll support any new BoR site in the future since I don't like the idea the whole scene depening just on 1 man / site again.
Cheers.
PD: Thanks for all the support all memebers of the BoR Elite offered me during these days...like Tails says, I won't forget this ;)
